Old School

Bloxwich C.E. School is situated in the Bloxwich West ward of Walsall in the West Midlands. The school was founded as a "National" School in 1829 and moved into its present building in 1861. Additions were made to the building in 1937 and in 1974 it lost its secondary department and became a Primary School with a school population of less than 100. Since 1991, the school has grown in size from 128 pupils to its present roll of 235. Pupil numbers are set to remain stable for the foreseeable future. Most pupils live within walking distance of the school.

The Anvil Stones in Bloxwich park have been a feature since the early 1900's

anvil stones

After being removed due to becoming a danger they were reassembled as a rockery.

And after consultation between the people of Bloxwich and the council they were put back in all of their former glory.
